My second book, H’Ilgraith, is slated to be published on or about the end of February 2020. It is predicated on my first book Homo transformans: The Origin and Nature of the Species. In Homo transformans, an old woman played a pivotal role in saving and protecting a young girl who eventually became Mistress of the House of H’Aleth. The old woman always seemed to know where to go and what to do. Even more extraordinary was her knowledge of dragon species and her ability to communicate with them. She died revealing only her name.
H’Ilgraith recounts the story of the old woman and her adventures as a young woman. It reveals how her personality and her alternate species – a gray fox, a lynx, a badger, and a great horned owl – forged an independent, resourceful, and driven individual. Her travels took her deep into dangerous territories where she encountered animal and humanoid hybrids – some deadly, others crippled and impoverished – all caused by the malevolence of Rex Cassius. During one of her forays, H’Ilgraith [as a lynx] confronted a gray mountain wolf who tested her patience and changed her way of life. The story also reveals how she ultimately came to care for an orphaned child destined to restore the House of H’Aleth.
In the interim before H’Ilgraith is published, the publisher has created two book covers for consideration. He has set up a poll to determine which one most people like the best.
